IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Hello everyone,

Mark and I just found out on Monday that we are having a little girl! Mark wasn't too shocked as every male in his family has had a girl first. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was a boy, but I am happy either way! We are pretty excited. We have a few names in mind, but one seems to stick out more, but we'll see. It was so fun to see how much the baby has grown. I went in early in my pregancy to get a definate due date and she was so small! The lady doing the ultra-sound had to magnify it to get measurements. Then this time, she is so big! We were able to see her little profile and her little feet and fists. This just added fuel to the fire of how excited I am for her to get here!

As for Mark and I, we are doing well and looking forward to the holidays. I got a new calling in my ward where I teach the 5 year olds. I have to be very theatrical in telling the stories, but it keeps their attention. They seem like they will be pretty fun. We both like our ward. We went to an elder's quorum activity a couple weeks ago, which was shooting our guns at clay pigeons. It was pretty fun, except for the downpour that lasted about 5 minutes and soaked ya to the bone. I'm still working at Zion's bank for now. I guess I'm starting to look more pregnant as many people commented on that today. I'll have to post some prego pictures soon!

Exciting News!!!

Hello all of you out in blogger land!

It has been awhile since my last blog, and there is lots to catch up on! As many of you know, we moved to Burley in May, and for those of you who have been asking for our address it is 1518 Overland Ave., Burley, ID 83318. Right now we are renting this cute little older home and we are having fun and getting to know our new ward. Here are some pictures of our cute little home:

It's a fun little home. Oh, for those of you wondering about the lady from our last blog, we won in court and she has paid us back our deposit. I had to pierce my lips together to stop myself from arguing, because there were some major whoppers they told in court! But, we won and I am glad that is over with.
I got a new job. I am a teller for Zions Bank. It's pretty fun and I like the people that I work with. It's nice because when I leave, I don't have work on my mind, I can just go home and not worry about people, that I need to get this and this done, it's pretty cushy.
I was going to get a teaching job for the upcoming school year, but it doesn't seem to be the right time. Mainly because..... I'M PREGNANT!!!!! We are so dang excited! It has been almost 2 years of trying, and I had almost given up and was going to make an appointment, to see if we could get some help. It was kind of a "surprise." My feet were swelling really bad, and I thought it was because of my new job, where I had to stand on my feet all day, and it was hot, so I thought it was because of that. Mark, on the other hand, said, I think it's because you're pregnant. I didn't feel any different so I just laughed at the notion. But he persisted, so I told him that if he thought I was then he needed to get me a pregnancy test. Well, that night he came home with, yup, a pregnancy test.
My body has been out of wack for about 2 years, so going a couple months without a cycle, was starting to become a norm, which I though was the case here. Mark was outside, and I went and took the test. As I wasn't expecting anything (as many tests have said no) I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw "pregnant" written in the little window. I couldn't believe it! So, I set the test on the counter and went about doing things around the house. Mark came in, saw the test, and leaned over. He did a double take, and then looked at me with a big grin on his face. Needless to say, with so many negative results, I took another test the next day and was elated to get the same result! So I made a doctor's appointment, and guess what, I'm still pregnant! :-)
So that is our way exciting news! We can't wait for the baby. Since I had no idea how far along I could be the doctor did an ultrasound and there was a little baby in there! I almost started crying I was so happy! I am about 2 months along and due on February 20th. I've even started to make some things for the baby! I'm so excited!
Anyway, we hope that everyone is doing well and that you are happy, as we are deleriously happy here!

WE MOVED!!

Mark and I have moved to Burley! We put our house up for sale in March and by the end of April we sold it! I really didn't think it would sell that fast, but we recieved an offer just $400 less than our asking price, so we weren't going to turn that down!
We had been looking for a rental in the Burley area pretty much as soon as we put the house up for sale. We found a duplex that was o.k., but it was better than anything else we had looked at, and rentals are going like hotcakes in Burley, so we decided to jump on it and gave a depost for the rental, which we were told we could begin moving into on May 1st. Well, with the sale of the house and having to be out by the 14th, it would have worked out really well, except the owners of the duplex we were going to rent from still were not out of the side we were supposed to move into. Finally by the 9th of May, I was beginning to panic a bit because we had to be out and had no place to put our stuff! So I started looking again for a place. I happened to come across this house about 2 blocks away from the Music store. It is bigger and nicer that the duplex and the rent was less, and best of all it was EMPTY and ready to move into. So we called the landlady and we paid a deposit and started moving in the next day. We are lucky to have found this and we are very happy here.
The unfortuate thing, is that the duplex monger wouldn't give us our deposit back. She had some lame excuse, saying that she had to drop her advertising because we put a deposit on the duplex so now that deposit money is supposed to pay for her to advertise again? Ya, doesn't make sense to me either. After debating with her, she finally said that she would have to talk to her attorney, so we did also and were told that we have a legitimate case, so we filed papers against her. I think I have lived in a bubble the majority of my life, as it baffles me that she just won't do the right thing! We'll see how this goes.
Anyway, so we moved into this great house. Mark can walk to work and come home for lunch. It's an old home, but it gives it a lot of character. We have wood floors in the main area and we have an enclosed front porch. Once we get unpacked, and I find my camera, we'll take some pictures so you can see it! I'm excited to start our life here in Burley.

Update...I know need to blog more!!!!

After speaking with my sister I was a little bit reprimanded because I haven't been the best at keeping her up to date on what's happening with me. So I decided it was way past due to post a blog! The question now is where do I begin!
1) Mark has started working for Dad in the music store. He started the beginning of January. Carrie quit to be with her kids more and so a managing position opened up in Burley and Mark really wanted to take advantage of it. So it's been 2 months now and Mark is loving it. He did really well his 1st month and sold 5 piano's! He really hopes he can improve the store there and is willing to put the work in to do so.
2) We have put our house up for sale and are trying to find a place in the Burley area. The drive back and forth is getting long for Mark, and it's not fun not being able to see him for 10 to 11 hours. It makes for really long days. So if we move to the Burley area he won't have to leave so early and get home so late. We have looked at a few places but haven't found anything we are in love with yet. We may have to rent for a few months until we find something. If we sell our house soon that is. We looked at some land in Declo, which I really liked. I would like to find a house there, or find some afforadable land and build a house again. We'll see.
3) Since we are trying to move to Burley I am also trying to find a new job. I interviewed for a job at a processing plant today. I think it went well, but we'll see in a couple of days. It's for a receptionist job, which actually would be a welcome change for me where I wouldn't have to supervise a bunch of people and solve everybody else's problems. If this works out it will be great because it will give me the flexability to study to get my teaching certificate as well.
That's pretty much the only big changes that have happened for Mark and I. We are still plugging along with work, and I am really getting tired of worrying about having a clean house all the time in case someone wants to come look at it. So hopefully it will sell soon!
